Strict penalties will be enforced.

Publishing false or misleading ads for renting flats in Dubai could get you fined Dh50,000.

An official spokesperson for the Dubai Land Department will warn the company to rectify the misleading advertisement prior to imposing the fine, as per Emarat Al Youm report.

Violators publishing ads on media outlets will face a strict penalty.

Employees from the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) check for false and misleading ads on social media, online websites and across different media genres to protect residents from being defrauded.

Companies may advertise free offers or services, like free parking, which are in violation of the terms of the rental contract.
